Sony introduces a new generation of DME switcher in response to the needs of SD-based live production systems. The Sony DFS-800 is a powerful DME switcher that provides a wide variety of switcher functionality, exceptional system versatility, and extreme creative performance. It is equipped with eight SD-SDI inputs and eight SD-SDI outputs as standard, however, as user requirements grow, these can be expanded to 16 by adding optional expansion boards. Other distinctive features include six keyers and a six-channel 3D DME that comes as standard. With a wide array of stunning system functionality and high-quality special effects, the DFS-800 will serve as a powerful, creative, yet cost-effective tool at live events and for small-scale production studios and editing suites.

This new DFS-800 Small SD Switcher is the latest in the DFS Switcher series (DFS-500, 300,700 and 700A). The DFS series was discontinued but a small Switcher for SDTV is still in demand. It is equipped with a broad range of funtions and powerful 3 D effects to cover the small switcher market.
