With the groundbreaking HVR-V1U compact professional camcorder, in addition to standard 60i, you can shoot native progressive scan footage and still edit using regular Sony HDV equipment.

Breathtakingly beautiful picture quality is assured by the "3 ClearVid CMOS Sensor" system and Carl Zeiss® Vario-Sonnar® T* lens with extra-low dispersion glass and 20x optical zoom.

To expand the range of video productions, the HVR-V1U supports 24p and 30p Progressive scan mode, compatible with existing Sony professional HDV equipment.

Thanks to the 3 ClearVid CMOS Sensor and Enhanced Imaging Processor, the HVR-V1U supports 24p (progressive) scan, the frame rate of film and 30p (progressive) scan modes, in addition to typical 60i. The signals generated by the 3 ClearVid CMOS Sensors are processed in the progressive domain as 1920 X 1080p FULL HD signals (compared to 1440 X 1080 on other cameras), allowing high-resolution progressive footage to be captured.
